Results:
The Best Way to Get Them, and What Makes for a Successful Plan or Program

I figured since we’re 2 weeks into January, it’s a perfect time to talk about goals (or resolutions), and what makes for the best plan or program.

The best plan is the one that you can stick to.

There is no perfect program or plan that’s going to get you the results you’re looking for if it can’t be maintained, or if you’re not willing to track and record your progress.

It’s easy to create a goal and be eager to achieve it, but you need to be willing to put the work in on a daily and weekly basis.

Lack of accountability is one of the #1 pitfalls when it comes to goal setting, especially when it comes to eating and training.

If you have a goal and are working towards it, the work you’re putting it needs to be tracked, or accounted for.

Let me paint a picture for you:

Johnny’s starts going to the gym with a of gaining muscle and put on some size.

The first two weeks go by and he’s crushing it; gets all his meals in, makes it to the gym when he’s supposed to, etc.

But after the first month, he stops recording his numbers in the gym (telling himself he remembers everything he does in his head), and he stops weighing out his meals because he “knows what it should look like.”

After 5 or 6 months pass, Johnny realizes he hasn’t made any progress.

He’s working out, and he’s eating clean.

But...he’s being lazy and doesn’t actually know what he’s really doing, because he’s not tracking or recording anything he’s doing.

He’s not holding himself accountable.

Little did Johnny know that he had been lifting the same weights since he started and he really didn’t know what his food should look like, because he wasn’t eating enough of it.

No matter what program you start, it’ll only be as good as the work you’re putting into it is.

If you fall off the plan it’s OK, just get back on.

If you know you’re someone who can’t be bothered with tracking and following every workout and every meal, hire a coach to do it for you.

If not, then expect to continue playing the vicious game of yo-yo: trying, quitting, and wondering why nothing works.

I ensure my clients' training is appropriately challenging and progressively gets harder as they get better.
I can also make sure their meals are aligned with their goals and can course-correct when needed.
