Reflecting and Planning:
Using the End of the Year to Strategize for Next Years' Success

Yesterday officially marked the first day of winter, ugh.

Thankfully, we're expecting some beautiful weather here in TX over the next week or so.

As the year end approaches, it's a great time to reflect on the past year in all your successes and shortcomings. This is also normally when people start thinking about New Years' Resolutions.

What did you do this year that you're really proud of?

Was there something that you learned that has made a big impact on your life?

Is there something you could have maybe put more attention into?

How can you use the experiences of this year to plan for continued success going into 2026?

Don't wait until New Years to start making goals for 2026, start planning today.

I hate the idea of waiting around for a specific time to start something.

When it comes to change, the best thing to do is dive head first and get started as soon as you can.

Pushing it off will only lead to more pushing it off.

Look at 2025 and see where you were successful, whatever success means to you.

What led to it? Was there planning involved? Were there other people involved?

Copy that and paste it into 2026.

Now where could you have improved?

Mentally? Physically? Emotionally? Socially?

Great, now where do you do from here?

Action steps.

If you've identified the areas in your life that you'd like to improve, what are the steps that are required to get there?

Goal setting requires planning.

Without planning, your goals are merely dreams.

Success requires action. Hence the need for action steps.

If you want to lose 10lbs, that's great! Now what are you going to do about it?

Are you going to put more time into preparing your meals in advance?

Are you going to hold yourself to making it to the gym a certain number of times per week?

Plan it out, and write it down.

New Years' Resolutions are great, in theory, but mean absolutely nothing if you haven't prepared or taken any action steps that'll lead to the change you're hoping for.

Get ahead of 2026 and start planning and preparing for success now.

Wishing you and your family a Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year!

Morgan Rebernik CPT, Online Coach January 19th, 2026 Fitness and Nutrition: You Give, and They Give Back ↓ I think a lot of people have a hard time understanding how rewarding working out and eating right can be. You give, and they give back. You give a little more, and you get back even more. What if I told you that working out and making changes to your diet could make you feel better throughout the day and maybe even help you sleep better at night? Fitness has so much more to offer than...

Morgan Rebernik CPT, Online Coach January 12th, 2026 Results: The Best Way to Get Them, and What Makes for a Successful Plan or Program ↓ I figured since we’re 2 weeks into January, it’s a perfect time to talk about goals (or resolutions), and what makes for the best plan or program. The best plan is the one that you can stick to. There is no perfect program or plan that’s going to get you the results you’re looking for if it can’t be maintained, or if you’re not willing to track and record...

Morgan Rebernik CPT, Online Coach January 5th, 2026 Recovery: Understanding the Signs of Being Under-Recovered and Knowing When to Pull Back ↓ Happy New Year! Hopefully the holiday season treated you and your loved ones well. In my newsletter last week, I talked about the importance of being able to recover from the work you're putting into your training and how you may be slowing down your progress, increasing your risk for injury, and potentially limiting your efforts for upcoming sessions...
